Statement from Indiana Department of Environmental Management Commissioner Thomas Easterly concerning Recovery Act Funding for the Continental Steel site in Kokomo, Ind. and the Jacobsville Neighborhood Soil Contamination site in Evansville, Ind.

"With the aid of federal stimulus money, many of the projects already slated for these sites can proceed simultaneously and be completed years ahead of schedule. IDEM is committed to protecting Hoosiers and our environment, and we thank U.S. EPA for working so hard to ensure a timely resolution at these priority sites."
