Several Arrested in Redkey District DUI Patrols

REDKEY, IN - Indiana State Police troopers from the Redkey District conducted DUI patrols during the evening hours of April 17th  and 18th , and early morning hours of April 18th and 19th within the Redkey District which includes Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Jay and Randolph Counties.

The Indiana State Police are committed to traffic safety, and will continue to conduct DUI checkpoints and saturation patrols for the remainder of 2009 to apprehend impaired drivers, and to deter others from drinking and driving.

The following information is the results from the DUI enforcement patrols:

• Driving while intoxicated misdemeanor arrests:    6
• Driving while intoxicated felony arrest:                  1                            
• Possession of marijuana arrests:                              4
• Minor consumption of alcohol arrests:                    2
• Habitual traffic violator arrest:                                1
• Active warrants arrests:                                            2
• Traffic violation citations:                                       27
