Chat with the Muncie Mayor

MUNCIE, IN - The next "Chat with the Mayor" session will be on Thursday, April 30, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Carnegie Library.

Mayor McShurley said, "I'm making an all-out commitment to the people of Muncie to engage in discussion about the 2009 municipal budget, our efforts to consolidate and streamline services and our plans to implement standards of accountability. We are facing very tough economic times and these meetings will provide residents with a first-hand explanation of the many challenges we are facing."  

She added, "It is imperative for all citizens to understand more about the working's of municipal government and the impact of property tax reform."

The topics this month will be weed control and street paving.
