Indiana State Police Conducting Death Investigation in Dekalb County

WATERLOO, IN - The Indiana State Police Criminal Investigation Division from the Fort Wayne Post is conducting an investigation into the death of a DeKalb County man that occurred during the afternoon on Friday May 15, 2009.

 

According to lead investigator, Detective Mark Heffelfinger, at approximately 2:00 pm, police were dispatched to a flea market located in the 4500 block of US 6 near Waterloo.  It had been reported by a customer that a white male had been lying on the floor of the business with an apparent gunshot wound.   

The victim has been identified by DeKalb County Coroner Jeff Warner as 63-year-old Raymond Edward Morrow of rural Butler.  An autopsy for Mr. Morrow has been scheduled for tomorrow, 5-16-09, at 2:00 pm and no further information will be released until the results of that autopsy have been released by Warner’s Office.
