Motorcycle Going 157 MPH Lands Owner/Operator in Jail

ALLEN COUNTY, IN - A Fort Wayne man who was operating his motorcycle at 157 miles per hour on US 30 tonight, led Indiana State Troopers on a pursuit which took them into parts of three counties, before he was apprehended.

At approximately 10:00 pm, Trooper Brad Theard was on patrol in his unmarked Ford Mustang traveling behind a blue 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle that was originally traveling 84 miles per hour.  According to Theard, the motorcycle began to accelerate until it reached a speed of 157 miles per hour as it traveled westbound on US 30 from the area of O’Day Road.  During this time, Theard had activated his emergency lights and siren for which the operator of the motorcycle refused to stop.

The owner and operator of the motorcycle, Keith Allen Brundige III, 22, of Fort Wayne was taken to and incarcerated in the Whitley County Jail.  Agencies assisting were the Allen County Sheriff Department, the Churubusco Police Department, and the Indiana Excise Police.
