S.R. 51 Lanes Restricted during Resurface Construction

Restrictions scheduled for tomorrow through early September

LAKE COUNTY, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces State Road 51 (S.R. 51) between State Road 130 (S.R. 130) and Central Avenue in Lake County will be restricted to one lane as directed by flag persons during daylight hours May 20 through early September 2009. This will allow crews to perform resurface construction.

The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather. INDOT reminds motorists to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone. For the latest news and information about INDOT, please visit www.in.gov/indot.

Although this project is just south of the I-80/94 (Frank Borman Expressway) added travel lanes project between State Road 53 (S.R. 53) and Central Avenue, neither project will affect the other. For more information about the Borman project, please visit http://www.borman.in.gov/.
