2009 Indiana Farmers' Market, U-Pick and Agritourism Directory now available!

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - On Tuesday, May 19 the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA), in partnership with the Office of Tourism Development (Tourism), launched the 2009 Indiana Farmers' Market, U-Pick and Agritourism Directoryat Easley Winery's 8th Annual Groovin' in the Garden season of free, live music kick-off event.

The  2009 Directory features more than 580 farmers' markets, u-picks and agritourism locations --including 45 new locations, Indiana"Ag and Tourism Fun Facts," an Indiana Fruits and Vegetable Harvest Calendar, a list of Indiana's wine trails and more!

ISDA will distribute 20,000 copies of the 2009 Indiana Farmers' Market, U-Pick and Agritourism Directoryto more than 40 Convention and Visitors Bureaus and Welcome Centers throughout the state and at various agribusinesses this week.  A PDF copy of the 2009 Directory and a list of all distribution sites is currently available on the ISDA Web site (www.in.gov/isda). This project was underwritten by a USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant. This is a free marketing tool to farmers and agribusinesses and is available at no cost to the public.
