Local Family Business featured on QVC

FRANKFORT, IN -  Shoup's Country Foods is a local family owned and operated business out of Frankfort IN.  They will debut a brand new burger choice on QVC, the home shopping network, Sunday, August 9, 2009 between 6:00pm-8:00pm during the Labor Day Food Fest Show.  Shoup Sisters, Cindy and Amy will be guest hosts on the program.  Shoup's HogburgerÒ is the ultimate porkburger, offering customers a new choice for the grilling season.

While the trademark name Hogburger was just established this spring, Shoup's has been making porkburgers for over 25 years. “It's the best kept secret in the Midwest and we want people across America to find out what the Hoosier state has known for years - the HogburgerÒ is a delicious new flavor for the grill.” said Cindy Shoup Cacy, Vice President at Shoups.“We are excited because our Hogburger will bring a new flavor profile to the burger industry.” Cacy said.

We have developed a custom package for the QVC viewers, according to Amy Shoup Mennen Vice President at Shoup's Country Foods, Inc.  The box will include (20) ¼ lb. patties and a miniature bottle of Shoup's Seasoning.  Shoup's have developed a burger that is made of lean cuts of pork, highlighted with their own 30 year old recipe signature seasoning. This burger offers a juicy, delicious meal for summertime cookouts. 

Shoup's family had a product featured on QVC 15 years ago when the retail giant visited all fifty states on their 50 in 50 tour.  Shoup's Mini-Hog Roast with a bottle of our signature BBQ sauce was selected as one of Indiana's 20 best products. Shoup's will also be featured at this year's Indiana State Fair.  They have a booth in the manufacturers building selling their Barbecue Sauce and Seasoning line, as well as a brand new booth at the entrance of the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand featuring the new Shoup's Hogburger®.

 “Our Hogburger is a product, not a by-product, made from specific lean pork cuts and no fillers”, Cacy said.  This new burger comes in a variety of sizes from ¼, 1/3, and ½ lb. options. However, QVC has decided to offer the ¼ lb. version. A nutritious and tasty alternative to other burgers on the market, Shoup's ¼ lb Hogburger only has 240 calories per serving.  Shoup's Hogburger is easy to use, Individually Quick Frozen and has a hand pattied appearance.
