State Police Arrest Hancock County Man for Cultivating Marijuana

WILKINSON, IN - Senior Trooper Larry Antic, Marijuana Eradication Officer for the Drug Enforcement Section, arrested a Wilkinson man yesterday evening for cultivating marijuana. Members of the Indiana State Police Marijuana Eradication Unit and the Hancock County Drug Task Force went to 6644 North State Road 109 Wilkinson in reference to marijuana growing behind the residence of James Carlton. The owner of the home, James R. Carlton, consented to a search of the property and the residence.   

The subsequent search revealed twelve cultivated marijuana plants, paraphernalia, and processed marijuana.  As a result of the investigation James R. Carlton, 53, was arrested.  He was transported to the Hancock County Jail and incarcerated.

Charged with Cultivating Marijuana-Felony

Possession of Paraphernalia
