Indianapolis Woman Dies in Five vehicle Crash
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A five vehicle crash early this evening on I-65 in Indianapolis resulted in the death of an Indianapolis woman. The crash occurred at 5:45pm October 15, 2009, during rush hour traffic near the 111 MM on I-65 southbound. The resulting investigation and clean-up kept I-65 southbound closed until approximately 8:45pm.
Killed in the crash was Rose Dillman, age 41, of Indianapolis. She was traveling southbound when she was struck in the rear by a semi being driven by Jerry L. Osborn, age 60, of Cleveland, Georgia. This impact pushed the Dillman vehicle into the rear of a semi being driven by Milton Wiltshire, age 38, of Germantown, Maryland. This semi struck the rear of a passenger vehicle driven by Paige Rogers, age 23, of Indianapolis. The Rogers vehicle was in turn pushed into the rear of a semi operated by Geoffrey Kimani, age 30, of Lockridge, Iowa. Osborn and Rogers were transported to Wishard hospital with non life threatening injuries. Wiltshire and Kimani were not injured. Dillman was pronounced deceased at the scene by Marion County Coroner’s officials.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing. The State Police were assisted at the scene by the Indianapolis Fire Department, Marion County Coroner’s Office, Indiana Department of Transportation, and IMPD.

Vehicle #5 – 2002 Freightliner semi tractor & trailer driven by Geoffrey Kimani, Lockridge, Iowa
