Buckaroo Marketing Acquires Zent Consulting
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - In a positive sign that the local economy is starting to once again gain ground, Fishers-based Buckaroo Marketing | New Media announced this week it has acquired Indianapolis-based Zent Consulting. The acquisition comes at a time when Buckaroo had completed expansion of its infrastructure in preparation for pursuing exponential growth and Zent Consulting was exploring ways to enhance capabilities in order to meet growing client needs.
Each of the privately held companies found the other shared key corporate values that made both companies successful. The combined company will operate under the Buckaroo Marketing name and will offer businesses, government and not-for-profit organizations comprehensive marketing, public relations, and new media services, including website development, SEO/SEM (search engine optimization and search engine marketing) and email marketing.
“My husband Greg started the company in 2003 with the goal of demystifying website services so our clients could obtain effective, creative websites and email marketing at an affordable price,” Ann Knotek, Principal of Zent Consulting said. “For the last six years we’ve provided just that,” she added.
Sadly, Greg Knotek passed away in 2008 after a brief illness. For Buckaroo president and CEO Deborah Daily that means she and her team will be continuously inspired to live up to Knotek’s goals.
“When Ann approached me recently about Buckaroo being the engine to take Zent to the next level, I felt honored to be entrusted with this part of Greg’s legacy. I’m excited to work with Zent’s clients and help them achieve their goals and I’m thrilled to be able to add Zent’s strengths and resources to our capabilities so we can continue to provide Buckaroo clients with world-class services at competitive prices.”
Buckaroo and Zent bonded and found common ground. “I had known and admired Greg,” explained Daily. “There were areas in which our services overlapped; however, we served different industries. Our mutual respect stemmed from our client-centered approach that brought out the best in both of our companies,” she said.
Buckaroo Marketing was founded in 1999 by Deborah and Kenneth Daily to provide custom marketing, branding, corporate identity, public relations, advertising, web, email and database-related services to organizations that desire planned strategic growth. Over the past 10 years the Fishers-based company has added staff and built a strong reputation throughout the Midwest for creativity and technical excellence.
“Now, by combining with Buckaroo we can hugely expand the services available to our clients. It’s a win-win.” Knotek said, “I get to see Greg’s dream continue on and our clients have a resource that can help take them to the next level.”
Zent Consulting was founded in 2003 by Greg Knotek, who was succeeded by his wife Ann Knotek in June 2008. The Indianapolis-based company provided web-based, Internet, and email marketing services to businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
