INDOT Announces Traffic Stoppages for State Road 57 in Gibson and Warrick Counties
EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces that on Wednesday, November 4, traffic on State Road 57 / I-69, will be stopped temporarily.
Overhead sign structures will be installed over the new south bound lanes of S.R. 57 / I-69. Traffic will be stopped to allow a crane to set and secure sign masts. Flag persons will be used to control traffic while this takes place. Three (3) sign structures are scheduled to be set on Wednesday, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. local time. Stoppages will last approximately 15 minutes for each structure to be installed.
This project is a part of Governor Mitch Daniels' Major Moves highway program. Major Moves fully funds a decade of critical highway projects in Indiana. Major Moves capitalizes on Indiana's strategic location at the Crossroads of America by building a superior road infrastructure. This innovative plan will bring jobs to the Hoosier State and leave a legacy for Indiana to be a global leader in distribution and logistics.
The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather. INDOT reminds motorists to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a highway construction zone. For the latest news and information about INDOT, please visit www.in.gov/indot.
