What are they doing down there at the Army Navy Surplus of Muncie?

Folks that see me out and about ask me what it is we are doing over here on our East Jackson Street area? If you have been by any time in the last twelve weeks, you should be able to say you have seen a magnificent change taking place over here by the Overhead RailRoad Trestle.
You may have seen the old homestead home go from beat-up aluminum siding to fresh new Sage Green double dutch lap vinyl siding, and new windows and gutters go in and up. You may even have noticed a lot of new landscaping and parking improvements happen, as well as a wider safer driveway go in, and the old home at 1804 demolished as part of grant money the city is using for taking down and disposing of blighted properties.
You may even have seen that the Main Street Flea Market has been sold to Carl Barber and that we now have a gravel walkway from the flea market to our house where there used to only be a slope down to the street in front of 1802 house. You may even see we have a larger and more extensive parking lot and have moved the Quonset Huts we operate our shops from.
Then there is the tree topping and adjacent greenway parallel improvements being made that will take until early spring to be really noticeable, as new trees are planted. Yes Muncie, with a lot of the blighted homes being torn down on the East side of Muncie the area is looking up. While there is still a lot of work to do on getting more down and gone, what has been done is showing up as improvements in our side of town.
We hope you will come check us out and see for yourself the very significant improvements being made on the East Side of Muncie and the Army Navy Surplus and Sow N Sews Custom Sewing and the Jacobsen homestead in particular. You may remember that I had stomach cancer surgery back in Dec 2008 and am on Chemo for a while longer and that the wife just underwent double bypass surgery a few weeks ago... and yes the Lord is dealing very well with us all things concerned. We are very thankful for all the help He has sent us and we are healing well, even as all the changes are taking place.
Thanks for all the prayers and well wishing on the part of the saint who have been making intercession on our behalf... God bless you and thank you.
