Indiana State Police Arrest Three Henry County Community Corrections Employees on Several Felony Charges
NEW CASTLE, IN - Indiana State Police Detective Brent Gulinson of the White Collar Crime Unit arrested three Henry County residents on today’s date on several felony charges. In May of this year the Henry County Commissioners requested the Indiana State Police investigate three employees of the Henry County Community Corrections for alleged misconduct.
On today’s date, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the three suspects turned themselves into Detective Gulinson at the Henry County Jail in New Castle. The three men were processed at the Henry County Jail and each posted a $1,000 cash bond and were released.
Arrested and Charged:
1. Doug Sheets, 57, Centerville, Director of the Henry County Community Corrections.
Charged with one Count of Corrupt Business Influence a Class C Felony, Two Counts of Official Misconduct a Class D Felony and Two Counts of Ghost Employment a Class D Felony.
2. Matthew Patterson, 38, New Castle, Field Officer Henry County Community Corrections.
Charged with one Count of Corrupt Business influence a Class C Felony, one count of Official Misconduct a Class D Felony, and three counts of Ghost Employment a Class D Felony.
3. Jim Heffernan, 39, New Castle, Home Detention Manager Henry County Community Corrections.
Charged with one count of Corrupt Business influence a Class C Felony, one count of Official Misconduct a Class D Felony and three counts of Ghost Employment a Class D Felony.
