Brassard Named INDOT CFO and Deputy Commissioner
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) Commissioner Michael W. Reed has named Daniel L. Brassard of Jasper to the position of Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Commissioner for Finance.
Brassard will be responsible for control and oversight over all aspects of INDOT's fiscal operations, including the Major Moves and Recovery Act capital construction programs. This includes accounting, audit, procurement and revenue forecasting impacting both operational and program budgets.
"Dan has an extensive background in finance, accounting and capital funds management," Reed said. "He brings to INDOT a proven track record at effectively managing organizations that are experiencing extreme growth; as well as possessing well-developed team building and cross functional, interpersonal skills."
Brassard joins INDOT after 25 years holding positions of increasing responsibility with MasterBrand Cabinets and its predecessor company, Aristokraft Inc. He was instrumental in the integration of six strategic acquisitions that saw MasterBrand grow to a $2 billion corporation with 15 plant locations and more than 12,000 employees. Most recently, Brassard served as Senior Vice President for Finance and Operations, where he led MasterBrand's accounting and finance efforts.
Brassard holds Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Evansville.
