INDIANA STATEHOUSE - Bloomfield and Pennville Elementary Schools were awarded as Indiana’s Four Star Schools, which is the state’s highest honor. The award was given out to 188 schools statewide for the 2008-2009 school year.
The Four Star School award is judged on three areas of criteria: attendance rates, student achievement and performance on the I-STEP+. The schools honored represent the top 25 percent of schools in the state.
“Today is a proud day for Bloomfield and Pennville students, teachers, parents and administrators,” Rep. Bill Davis (R-Portland) said. “Everyone involved with Bloomfield and Pennville schools, today, are being honored for their hard work and dedication to educating future generations of Hoosiers.”
