Indiana State Police 2009 Meth Lab Statistics
PENDLETON, IN - The Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Section under the Criminal Investigation Division recently released statistical information regarding methamphetamine laboratory incidents for 2009. During 2009 the Indiana State Police responded to 1,343 lab incidents compared to 1,059 in 2008. These incidents resulted in 1,031 arrests by the Indiana State Police for various violations associated with manufacturing methamphetamine. This represents nearly a 40 percent increase over last year’s arrest total of 739.
