Three Men Arrested in Mobile Miami County Meth Lab
MIAMI COUNTY, IN - On Thursday, an investigation into illegal methamphetamine activity by the Indiana State Police, the Peru Police Department., the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, and the Converse Police Department led to the traffic stop of a Buick passenger car near County Road 950 South and State Road 19. A subsequent search of the Buick, led officers to discover an active methamphetamine lab and items commonly associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
The vehicle occupants, Travis Hann,31, James Hann Jr.,40, both of Peru, IN, and Jonah L. Sands, 37, Kokomo, IN, were all incarcerated in the Miami County Jail to face class B felony charges for manufacturing methamphetamine. They also face class D felony charges for possession of precursors and theft. All three have a surety bond of $33,000.
Further investigation, led officers to obtain a Miami Circuit Court search warrant for the Hann’s residence at 364 Jefferson St., Peru, IN. Officers allegedly found more precursors associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
This is an ongoing investigation and more arrests are expected.
