Kokomo Mayor Goodnight to Speak at Job Creation and Retention Conference
KOKOMO, IN - On Thursday, March 18th, Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight will be one of the featured speakers at the “Job Creation and Retention: Strategies that are working in Indiana today” conference in Indianapolis.
Mayor Goodnight will be joined by Mayor Greg Ballard, Indianapolis; Mayor James Fleck, Columbia City and Kevin Brinegar, President, Indiana Chamber of Commerce as well as other economic development leaders as they relate best practices strategies and learn and network with national, economic development experts.
In the audience will be Indiana economic development leaders including elected officials, chamber representatives and regional economic leaders.
The keynote speaker will be C. Robert Sawyer, who directs the Economic Development Administration's (EDA) six-state Chicago regional office which is responsible for annually awarding grants totaling approximately $34 million.
The one-day conference is conducted by the High Performance Government Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to designing, developing and deploying high performance accountable public services. The Network assists local government chief elected officials develop quality improvements by using data to identify service delivery weaknesses and to establish working models for immediate and on-going improvements.
