Ball State Homecoming Steering Committee Announces 2010 Details

MUNCIE, IN - Ball State Homecoming 2010 hopes to provide a “rockin” week for students, faculty, alumni and community members. The Homecoming Steering Committee has selected “Rock the Red” as the theme for this year’s homecoming.

Ball State will observe homecoming week Oct. 3 - Oct. 9. The Cardinals will host the Western Michigan Broncos in the homecoming football game on Oct. 9 at Scheumann Stadium.

“The theme this year merges school spirit with a rock and roll theme,” said Chanel Richards, general chairman of the Homecoming Steering Committee. “When picking a theme the committee wanted to reach the entire Ball State Community.”

The Homecoming Steering Committee will host the Spring Information meeting at 9:30 p.m. April 14 at the Ball State Alumni Center. The meeting is open to the public and will cover details for the entire week of homecoming events. Students are encouraged to attend. Attendants will receive Ashley Points and free pizza.

“Every year the steering committee tries to put a new twist on all of the events,” said Richards. “The info meeting helps to inform students on what will be going on in the fall.
