JENNINGS COUNTY, IN -  On Thursday, May 20 Indiana State Police responded to a report of a domestic violence situation in the 7000 block of CR 600N in Jennings County.  When officers arrived on the scene they were met by several agitated and armed family members. The victim was transported to Jennings County Hospital suffering from chest pains but was later released and taken to a domestic violence shelter.  Officers completed the on-scene investigation and a report was filed with the Jennings County Prosecutor's office.

On Friday, May 21 the Indiana State Police obtained an arrest warrant for 37 year old L. After making the arrest on Petro, officers then responded to 7790 West CR600N and executed a search warrant where further evidence was recovered.

This investigation is continuing and further charges could be filed later. The investigation is being led by Tpr. Randel Miller of the Indiana State Police.  He is being assisted by other troopers along with Jennings County Sheriff's Deputies and the North Vernon Police Department.
