Free Balloon Glow Lights Up Sky to Kick Off Air Show Weekend
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The public is invited to bring the family to see a free, hot air Balloon Glow that will light up the sky at Mt. Comfort Airport on Friday evening, June 11th. Bud E. Beaver, a popular hot air balloon that stands 100’ tall and weighs over 700 pounds, will be featured along with several other balloons on an evening that kicks off the 14th Annual Indianapolis Air Show weekend.
The Balloon Glow takes place between 7:00 pm and dark after the conclusion of Practice & Media Day at the Air Show. Gates will open on Friday at 10:00 a.m. and crowds will get a peak at performers such as the world’s only P-51 Horsemen Aerobatic Team which is being brought to the air show by ASB.TV, Red Bull Air Race Champion, Michael Goulian, Franklin’s Flying Circus and more.
TOY FACTORY, sets up to perform at the Monte Carlo & Silent Auction event which starts at 6:30 pm. Hoosier Park will once again sponsor this charity, gaming event which benefits children’s charities through The Central Indiana Community Foundation. Hooters will be catering this fun filled evening and performers such as Billy Werth from Grayout Aerosports will be mingling with the crowd.
The Indianapolis Air Show takes place all weekend and dollar for dollar this annual community event is a great family value. On Saturday and Sunday, children are welcomed to visit the Zhu Zhu Pet Universe Exhibit in Marsh’s Kid Zone and to play on inflatables. Other events include a Golf Outing, Antique Car Show, Military Re-enactors, a Remote Control Air Show and more.
