Troopers Arrest Vincennes Parents for Neglect and Possession of Meth
VINCENNES, IN - Sunday afternoon, June 6, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Indiana State Police responded to 114 North 10th Street in Vincennes to investigate a complaint of illegal drug activity.
While approaching the rear of the residence, troopers detected a chemical odor commonly associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine. When troopers entered the basement of the residence they found items used to manufacture meth and a modified tank containing anhydrous ammonia.
Troopers also found small amounts of meth, marijuana and paraphernalia. Two people who have been staying in the basement, Kurtis Evans, 34, and Jessica Moore, 24, were arrested. Michael Kimmell, 46, and Dawn Kimmell, 48, reside in the residence and were also arrested. Kimmell's 13-year-old son was taken into protective custody by Knox County Child Protective Services.
All four persons are currently being held on bond in the Knox County Jail.
