Meth lab in Alex

ALEXANDRIA, IN - Buy too much pseudoephedine at Walmart and you can find the Indiana State Police knocking at your door looking for a meth lab.

That's what happened to Edward J. Foster, 50, last week, when troopers showed up at his home at 1102 W. Monroe St. Foster also seemed not to know his rights because he invited the members of ISP's meth suppression team inside.

It did not take long for troopers to find tools and chemicals used to make meth inside an RV next to the house. Raw meth in a coffee filter also was found. Foster was preliminarily charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, a Class B felony, and held in the Madison County Jail under a $20,000 bond on Saturday.

ISP Sgt. John Bowling explained pseudoephedine records kept by retailers showed Foster bought more than 7.2 grams allowed each month. The Legislature changed the law a few years ago to limit the amount of the sinus medication sold because it is used to make meth.

Why not legalize drugs and spend the billions on health care or Medicare for all American citizens? Fifty millions people without health care is just too many in a country that has enough to provide for all.
