Muncie ball breaker in jail
MUNCIE, IN - A love story that caught Tonight Show host Jay Leno's attention landed a local woman in jail for breaking her ex-boyfriend's balls.
This alleged case of aggravated battery happened on March 30 when Christina L. Reber, 43, paid her ex-lover Dennis Newman a painful visit.
Newman told Muncie police that he was online when Reber came into his Westside home on River Bend Drive and screamed at him to call police. Then the on again off again lover slapped Newman, grabbed ahold of his scrotum, and began to squeeze.
After squeezing hard and digging in her nails, the blood began to flow and Newman finally got her off of him. He called the ambulance and police found him at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He talked to police and signed a battery affidavit for her arrest.
Reber was picked up on Palm Sunday and preliminarily charged with felony aggravated battery and residential entry along with misdemeanor domestic battery. She bonded out of jail with only $1,000 cash .
Leno and his Hollywood writers on Monday found the ball breaking story funny because the victim ended up in a hospital called Ball. Reber also reportedly works at Ball, a triple play on Ball. Police were not joking around with the case during a week that women learned how to protect themselves from rape and other attack. This case switched the male and female roles while showing love and hate make a bad combination.
