I&M Plans to Bury Downtown Muncie Power Lines
MUNCIE - According to The Star Press and other sources, the electrical system in downtown Muncie is being replaced by Indiana & Michigan Power. They want to place most of the power lines underground, which could mean added expense for downtown building owners.The announcement was made this morning at the Downtown Business Council meeting at The Fisher Building first floor auditorium. The meeting was hosted by The Star Press.
According to the article, burying the power lines will cost building owners anywhere from $5,000 to $15,000.
