Both men stop at well-known Shapiro's deli to discuss the economy & ObamaCare
Staff Report
CARMEL, IN - State Treasurer and Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate Richard Mourdock and U.S. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida stopped by well-known Shapiro’s Deli today to meet with Hoosiers regarding the economy and ObamaCare.
“In Indiana, we have weathered the economic instability better than most and are only one of two states in the black. We are not immune, however, from the hardships that have been placed on the economy by President Obama.
“To get the national economy on a permanent path toward prosperity, we must encourage private sector job growth by cutting government spending, restructuring the federal tax code and eliminating unnecessary regulations,” stated Treasurer Mourdock.
In addition, Mourdock and Senator Rubio discussed ObamaCare, which includes the job-killing medical device tax.
“ObamaCare needs to be repealed and replaced with private sector solutions that get the federal government out of the private healthcare industry.
“Unfortunately, my Democrat opponent Congressman Joe Donnelly sided with the President and against Hoosiers by voting for ObamaCare and the job-killing medical device tax. That’s not the kind of leadership Hoosiers need in the U.S. Senate,” stated Treasurer Mourdock.
The Indiana medical device industry is a $10 billion industry and employees over 20,000 Hoosiers.
