Better Not be "Lion" - Snoop Dogg Ditches Game & Changes Name to Snoop Lion

Staff Report

LOS ANGELES, CA - It has come as a surprise to some and many are saying he better not be "lion," but Snoop Dogg has changed his name to Snoop Lion after having a "spiritual adventure" on Jamaica and talking with a Rastafarian high priest who made the suggestion.

The veteran West Coast rapper who survived the media created "Rap Wars," back in the day, has announced he has experienced an artistic and spiritual rebirth. (There was no mention if there will be another "reality tv" show or not based on the experience, although there is a DVD of the events leading up to the transformation of Snoop from Gangsta Rapper to Reggea Repper.

Fox News reported on a news conference in New York City today:

The former gangster rapper is releasing a reggae album called "Reincarnated" in the fall. He said that in Jamaica, he connected with Bob Marley's spirit and is now "Bob Marley reincarnated."

Regarding rap music, Snoop Lion said, ""Reggae was calling ... it's a breath of fresh air. Rap isn't challenging; it's not appealing."

While the new Reggae is not set to be released for another few months, there are many fans who are sure to at least give Snoop's new style a listen. As for the others, they can Drop it Like it's Hot.
