MUNCIE, IN - Ball State's geothermal energy station roared with power from beneath the ground as members of the Hoosier Interfaith Power and Light group had a few questions Sunday, also the day of Pentecost.

Retired minister Charlie Mason of Grace Episcopal Church wondered what would happen to the large underground water pump and circulation if there was an earthquake. Others wondered how the station would function in a massive power outage.

Jim Lowe, who heads facilities, planning and management at the university, assured more than 30 people that the water pumping systems would not be impacted by an earthquake given the flexibility of the piping system besides not being deep enough to matter.

MUNCIE, IN  - Keeping the Peace in memory of Jamel Barnes was a huge success Saturday as the Harlem Wizards entertained and played before more than 300 people at Southside High School.

Regardless of the outcome, Tyler said it was a smiles on all the faces of youth who were watching the antics of the Wizards like King Arthur, Tomahawk, Space Jam, and Air Jamaica who reenacted the glory days of the former Harlem Globetrotters who were beloved by millions.

MUNCIE, IN - The Animal Rescue Fund has spent 15 years providing shelter, medical care, and love to more than 100 animals at a time.

Over the years, the organization has struggled with the financial burden of caring for these animals, as well as helping low-income pet owners in the community by providing free pet food and vouchers for spay/neuter surgeries at little to no cost to the pet owners.

On Thursday, ARF put out a plea via Facebook requesting funding from its more than 6,000 Facebook followers.
