HOLLYWOOD, CA - While many drama series on television begin to show their age after five seasons, it appears that Sons of Anarchy still has quite a bit of steam left. Those that have followed SOA from its beginning know that the show has stayed the same while at the same time changing slightly to keep the audience's attention. There was a whole crazy Irish season that left a weird taste in the mouth of many people, but it appears all that is ancient history.

One of the things that many fans like about the series is its ability to mix the rough and tough biker side of the story with stories of family. Even the scenes of family life are a bit rough and tumble, however, which gives the show it's flavor and makes it so appealing to a wide variety of people beyond just bikers.

Sons of Anarchy Season 4 ended with everything a little off kilter. The battle between Clay (Ron Perlman) and his son Jax (Charlie Hunnam) continues to boil over in the season 5 premiere tonight. We're not going to give away any spoilers, but if you've liked SOA in the past, there is a good chance you're going to like the new season - a lot.

from the promos and reactions in the blogosphere, there are quite a few fans who are anxiously awaiting the new season, waiting to see if the show can redeem itself after a weak season or two.

Earlier this week, FX released four new video promos for the upcoming "Sons Of Anarchy" Season 5. The promos are jam-packed with footage of new characters, continuing rivalries and more solid proof the walls are closing in on SAMCRO.

Jimmy Smits has a character - Nero Padilla - who is a Latino gangster who receives interest from Gemma this season. Ruh row, Samcro.

In the "Tara" video promo,  the intense rivalry between Jax's wife Tara and his mother Gemma comes to a head.

 "I don't want you alone with my boys," Tara tells Gemma. "Here's something else that may sound familiar ... don't ever try to hurt my family again."

The new season of Sons of Anarchy begins on September 11th on FX.
