Mormons in Muncie Host Annual Celebration of Christ’s Birth

MUNCIE, IN - Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) in Muncie will host a Christmas open house featuring musical programs and a variety of cultural nativity designs onDecember 1, 10:00 am—9:00 pm.  

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to gather and celebrate the blessed story of the birth of Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of the world,” says Thomas Burdett, president of the LDS Muncie Stake serving over 3,500 LDS members.

Guests will witness hundreds of nativity sets from different parts of the world including professionally handcrafted designs as well as locally made expressions of the birth of Christ.  Other attractions include videos depicting the birth and life of the Savior, complimentary photography (nativity-style clothing will be on hand for families to dress in and be photographed), and refreshments made available throughout the day. 

11:00—12:00 pm         Youth vocalists and instrumentalists from the community

1:30—2:30 pm             Bell Choir,  First Lutheran Church Organist,  Ball State

 University  harp quartet, Ball State University saxophone quartet, and various vocalists from the community.

2:30—6:30 pm             Video presentations of the birth and life of Jesus Christ  

7:30 pm                        Final musical presentation


This event is free to the public.  All ages are invited and welcome to attend.
