Staff Report

CHICAGO, IL - There are a lot of websites dedicated to math on the web, but when it comes to making learning fun, there is one that knows a lot about cool math games that are interesting and fun.

They currently have 44 games on the website, with more coming all the time. Additionally, there are over 300 users on the website. There's quite a few logic based games on their roster.

"We started off as a engineer with hopes and dreams of some day making the best place for students to come and learn some math!" they wrote on their website.

One game - 99 Bricks - is sure to keep children entertained for a bit while at the same time stimulating their brain. Strengthening the way the mind works at an early age is a great way to do well later in life.

About 99 Bricks:

Build the highest tower! With 99 Bricks at your disposal, how high will your tower be?

The games are simple and easy to pick up, but they are also fun, teaching children that using their brain is a good thing and that not all problems are easily solved by shooting a blaster cannon.

Chronotron is another free math game on their site that is described as, "about a robot that goes back in time for some reason. (His best friend is a talking pie!) Use your time machine to interact with past versions of yourself in this puzzle/platformer! You can disable the music in the options menu, or by right-clicking. "

With new games being added all the time, mathgames.org is quickly becoming a premiere place online to find stimulating brain games for children of all ages. Here are some of the other games they have currently available.

  • Piu Piu - A collecting and avoiding game that is quite fun.

  • Virological War - This Real Time Strategy (RTS) game is based on a virus spreading.
