New Castle man accused of having sex with teenagers

NEW CASTLE, IN - A 67-year-old man is charged with taking teenagers on vacations to New Orleans and Daytona Beach and having sex with them.
Not only does that violate sexual exploitation laws, Marvin Geraci also is accused of violating interstate commerce laws by taking the 12 and 13-year-olds across state lines.
Geraci, who had no prior criminal record, now faces life in prison for federal transporting minors in interstate commerce with the intent to engage in sexual activity.
Court documents indicate Geraci allegedly took the teenage girls on multiple vacation where he had sex with them.
U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett announced the indictment in conjunction with a crackdown on child exploitation in the state. The Operation Community Watch uses cutting edge techniques to charge people involved in trafficking child pornography.
And child exploitation and abuse is at an all time high as Hogsett reported his office prosecuted 52 defendants last year, about 37 percent over the year before. That all time record saw 49 defendants convicted and sentenced.
