Indiana back on top, Zeller Big 10 Player of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, IN - Indiana is back on top and so is Hoosier center Cody Zeller in the Big Ten.

Both Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls had Indiana at No. 1 after the 81-73 victory over Michigan Saturday night in Assembly Hall. Indiana got 58 of 65 first place votes with AP and 25 or 31 in the coaches ranking.

Former No. 1 Michigan drop to No. 3 and Ohio State hangs around at No. 10. Butler is 14 and Notre Dame is 25.

Indiana Coach Tom Crean talked about how he demanded energy out of the Hoosiers that led throughout the Michigan contest and still faces Illinois and Ohio State. They are now 20-2 and 8-1 in conference

Zeller also scored his second Big Ten player of the week , sharing it with Michigan State's Keith Appling.

In Michigan and Purdue games last week, Zeller averaged a double-double of 19 points and 10.5 rebounds. Hoosier guard Victor Oladipo earned the award last week.

Indiana heads to Illinois Thursday and the 7 p.m game will be seen on ESPN2 to win 14 in a row.  Then they travel to Ohio State on Sunday for a 1 p.m. Sunday game on CBS..
