DELAWARE COUNTY, INDIANA (NEWS / PHOTO) - Wasson's grows was the suggested headline of county redevelopment guy Brad Bookout when local government offered tax breaks to the growing greenhouse effort off McGalliard Road.

Bob Wasson, nursery owner, told Delaware County Council this week of plans to expand the office and operating area of the nursery on County Road 500W. Government gladly gave Wasson a tax break for the expansion.

The Union City operation planted roots in Delaware County a few years ago and provides all types of plants, trees, bushes and lawn and landscape services.

Wasson said a few more employees will be hired and some more perennials will be grown on site instead of trucked in from warmer climates.

The nursery will be open Black Friday and Saturday during 10 a.m. -3 p.m. And Wasson offers all type of holiday greenery and trimmings.
