MUNCIE, INDIANA (SPORTS / PHOTO) - Ball State lost 69-50 to Valparaiso Wednesday at Worthen Arena in a poor display of shooting.

The Cardinals shot only 27 percent and allowed 48 percent from the Crusaders. Valpo Coach Bryce Drew was happy with the first road win with a team that is growing just like Ball State.

Defense was the name of this game as Valpo never let the Cardinals closer than two.

Valpo has not won at Ball State since 1967, another milestone in history.
