BSU Coach Pete Lembo Named to AFCA Committee

MUNCIE, INDIANA (SPORTS) - Ball State's fourth-year head football coach Pete Lembo has been selected to the American Football Coaches Association Ethics Committee.

The AFCA Ethics Committee is entrusted with upholding the AFCA Code of Ethics in regard to the actions of member coaches.  The committee is chaired by former Wake Forest head coach Jim Grobe.

Lembo, who guided Ball State to a 10-3 record in 2013, has previously served the AFCA on the Football Championship Subdivision Head Coaches Executive Committee (2002-10), the All-America Selection Committee (2001-05) and the AFCA Public Relations Committee (2002-05).

One of 20 coaches in the country named to the 2013 Paul Bear Bryant National Coach of the Year Award Watch List, Lembo has a .676 winning percentage at Ball State.  His winning percentage marks the best in a coaching career for the Cardinals since 1967 and is the second best among Ball State's 13 head coaches since 1924.
