Muncie Downtown Development Partnership brings Bourbon Street to Walnut Street


MUNCIE, INDIANA (NEWS) - Downtown Muncie will come alive again this spring as Muncie Gras anticipates its annual celebration. It is Downtown’s biggest celebration of the year! It’s our version of Bourbon Street on Walnut Street! Pile on your beads and come out to the most anticipated Muncie Gras yet, happening Saturday, March 22 from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. put a mask on and head to Walnut Street.

The mechanical bull is back, euro bungee, zipline, human bowling, wrecking ball. go-go cage, two outdoor stages, belly dancers, aerial acts, drag show, sizzling hot male revue and tons of live indoor entertainment and out to keep you in the party mood all throughout the evening!

“Every year the celebrations surrounding Muncie Gras continue to expand and build in novelty,” said Muncie Downtown Event Director Cheryl Crowder. “We’re building an event that continues to make gains and exposure throughout the Midwest. This year we will continue to see an increasingly diverse fan base as we celebrate this annual event. Last year’s event drew nearly 7,000 attendees to pack the streets to yell, “throw me something Mister!”

The event is open to those 21 and over. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door and can be purchased at select ticket locations in Muncie. The MITS Trolley will provide a safe ride home, running from 7 p.m. - 3 a.m. to the Ball State campus and Lyndenbrook area hotels.
