Greystar Student Living now manages Windermere Place in Muncie IN


MUNCIE, INDIANA (NEWS)  A housing giant in the United States now manages Windermere Place that offers affordable student living near Ball State University.

Greystar Student Living, based on Houston, TX. recently acquired the 672-bed housing complex built in Bethel Avenue.The student living group manages over 14,000 beds nationwide with 210,000 residences in its portfolio.

Ted Johnston, local property manager, said the community offered the lowest prices and largest floor plans in the market that has been a boom in student housing recently.

The community offers fully furnished two, three and four bedroom apartment homes ranging from 1,009 to 1,598 square feet. Interiors include custom cabinetry, modern carpeting and wood flooring besides a washer and dryer, private bath for every bedroom, patios and balconies, breakfast bar, walk-in closets and vaulted ceilings. 

Outside, there is resort style swimming pool with a sun deck, tennis courts, grilling stations, and full-size basketball courts. There also is a business center, media room, fitness center, sauna, tanning beds, and a steam room in the main building.

And Windermere has free cable and internet.

"Our goal is to provide a lifestyle tailored especially for students that incorporates everything from spacious floor plans to convenient on site amenities," said Michelle Fuller, senior director of Greystar Student Living.

And students also are looking for more privacy and better amenities to enhance their lifestyle, added Anne White, senior regional property manager for Greystar.

Greystar was founded in 1993 and has grown rapidly into a $7.5 billion global portfolio with its development division having more than $1.9 billion more in projects capitalized or under construction.

The corporation also is a big giver, donating millions to charities like St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
