Manpower looking for 300 people to man Daleville IN call center

Manpower in Muncie Having an Open House Next Tuesday

MUNCIE, INDIANA (NEWS) - Manpower is gearing up for an open house in search of hundreds of new workers for a call center in Daleville.

This is the biggest job search the worldwide job hunter has undertaken in central Indiana in recent years, according to Katie Lupo, talent acquisition manager.

The open house is Tuesday during 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. at Manpower's branch at 2902 White River Boulevard. If you cannot make it, call the hiring hub at (765) 212-0836.

Lupo explained the call center planned to increase its volume and needed a new workforce to handle it. Applicants will be interviewed and trained during the summer for work..

Call center jobs are a great launching pad to a stable and lucrative career, Lupo said. By learning and understanding the call center industry, you have the opportunity to expand into management, human resources, training, and quality control.

"This industry provides itself on promoting people that understand what it takes to be successful within call centers which ultimately are the folks that started out taking phone calls and helping customers," Lupo said.

The Muncie branch was established solely for hiring and management of the Daleville call center and more than 2,100 people have been hired for it over the last seven years.

The call center jobs are the latest in a hiring boom in central Indiana over the last six months. Mursix of Yorktown just announced plans to hire another 90 production workers to make parts of automobiles and durable goods.

Manpower has a worldwide network of offices in 80 countries and territories and partners with clients to accelerate their business by providing people and services that increase the quality, productivity and efficiency of their total workforce.
