Betty Jean Winningham-Clark, 78
MUNCIE, INDIANA (OBITUARIES) - Betty Jean Winningham-Clark, 78, passed away early Monday morning, June 23, 2014, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Jamestown, Tennessee on April 3, 1936, the daughter of Barney and Hattie (Cooper) Winningham, and attended Jamestown, Tennessee Schools.
Mrs. Clark was a member of the Gloryland United Baptist Church and the Avondale Sympathy Club. Betty was a member of the Gloryland Gospel Singers and sang and traveled for the Lord.
Survivors include her husband of over 60 years, Ray Clark; four sons, Glenn Clark (wife-Marcia), Frost Proof, Florida, Ronnie Clark (wife-Kathy), Baxter, Tennessee; Rickey Clark (wife-Beth), Burnsville Minnesota; and Donald Clark (wife-Robin), Nashville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Fallon, Gunner, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, and Wyatt Clark; a great grandchild, Casin Clark; a brother, James Winningham (wife-Phyllis), Muncie; a sister, Bessie Cooper, Jamestown, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Junior Winningham, and a sister, Kathy Winningham.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Danny Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. or one hour prior to time of service on Thursday.
