Ethel Mae Brees, 85

MUNCIE, INDIANA - Ethel Mae Brees, 85, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Willowbend Nursing Center.  She was born December 19, 1928, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, the daughter of Allie V. and Rose Belle Blevins Craycraft.  The family moved to Muncie and Ethel graduated from Muncie Central High School.

She was employed at Ball Brothers for twenty-eight years prior to her retirement.

Mrs. Brees was a member of the Women of the Moose and loved to bowl.

Surviving are her daughters, Pam Gray, (husband, Wayne), and Brenda Crouch, (husband, Steve), both of Muncie; six grandchildren, Lisa York, Brian Brees, Michael Gray, Jon Crouch, Amber Crouch and Nikki Brees; four great-grandchildren, Jessica Upchurch, Danielle York, Bentley Brees,  and Ciara Sorrell; two great-great-grandchildren, Lexii and Levi Upchurch; her brother, Allie Craycraft, (wife, Juanita), Selma; two sisters, Marie Gastineau, (husband, Don), Crossville, Tennessee, and Jean Rector, (companion, Ron), Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glenn Brees; her son, Jerry A. Brees; three sisters, Betty Wilson, Opal Craycraft and Louise Blakley; and her brother, Otto Craycraft.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Warren Wilie officiating.  Entombment will follow in Elm Ridge Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
