JERUSALEM, ISRAEL - According to a report by Yaakov Lappin at the Jerusalem Post, "IDF ground forces began to move into the Gaza Strip on Thursday evening at around 10:30." Their information comes from Al Jazeera as well as Palestinian news sources.
The IDF has not confirmed the reports, but the IAF hit 30 targets across Gaza Thursday evening. After the end of the humanitarian truce at 3 p.m. local time, rockets were fired into Israel. Over 100 projectiles were fired into Israel as IDF dropped leaflets over Gaza telling people to vacate their villages earlier in the evening.
Of the rockets fired into Israel, eighty one rockets landed in open areas, two fell inside villages (damaging two homes), and 20 were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system. Additionally, another drone flying out of Gaza territory was shot down by IDF using a Patriot missile. This was the second drone Hamas has flown into Israel in the last few days.
