MUNCIE, IN - Ball State University students got a lesson in money and people during a talk about the recent Right to Work law and how people who already worked their entire life lost their jobs and benefits working in hometown factories.

 The exercise was part of the Freshman Common Reader that explores issues facing college students like whether there is even an economy that will support them besides the impact of Right to Work and labor unions will have on their lives..

MUNCIE, IN - Muncie lawmakers, facing Muncie Community Schools administrators, had little to say about that 5,000 pound elephant in the room during a legislative wrap up on Friday.

 Rep. Mike White, D-Muncie, could not believe that the $500 million accounting error from the Indiana Department of Revenue that cost government and schools was not found by state or local officials for 14 months.

Daniels gives high fives to Indiana lawmakers

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Gov. Mitch Daniels lauded state lawmakers this week for finally funding full-day kindergarten, ensuring taxpayers get a refund, passing Right to Work and enacting a statewide smoking ban.

 "There will always be work ahead," said Daniels in his last year as governor. "I hope there will always be something that bothers us, something that excites us about how we can build a bigger state."
