Vigil held for Hero and Muncie Firefighter Scott Davis
Vigil for Hero and Muncie Firefighter Scott Davis will last 24 hours

MUNCIE, IN - Muncie firefighter Scott Davis will long be remembered as a hero to the community besides a husband, father and friend to his family.
When the clock struck 3:53 p.m.Friday, a 24 hour vigil to honor Davis began on the High Street Bridge now known as Fallen Heroes Bridge in front of Muncie City Hall.
Members of Muncie City Council laid a wreath for Davis, a former Yorktown fire chief, who lost his life fighting the devastating fire at Tabernacle of Praise Church on June 15, 2011. Davis and a a crew rushed in to make sure no one was in the burning church.

MUNCIE, IN - The top story of the year in Muncie is about tragedy and loss felt by a wife and three young children.
There's no question that the death of Scott Davis, 40, trying to fight the fire at Tabernacle of Praise on June 15 impacted more people, besides his wife, Raeanne, and three children, Jake, Emma and Myron, more than any other story in Muncie 2011.
