Drunk driver charged in fatal accident

PORTLAND, IN  - A Jay County man remains in jail, accused of causing a death in a likely drunk driving accident Saturday night.

 Dead is Michael L. Limbert, 36, who died at the scene of the accident at Jay County roads 650-S and 250-W according to Jay County Sheriff Ray Newton. Charged in the head-on accident is David M. Oxley, 36, rural Portland, who faces initially charged of felony driving while intoxicated in an accident causing a death. Results of a blood alcohol test are still pending.

Deadly crash on Ind. 3

HARTFORD CITY, IN - Slick roads contributed to a fatal  crash Monday afternoon on Ind. 3, killing a Fort Wayne woman.

Havoc on the interstate

 Harsh winds and an inch of snow played havoc on local roads and area interstates on Monday. Indiana State Police reported snow caused numerous slide offs and crashes on Interstate 70 at the Centerville exit In Henry County. And bridges on Interstate 69 in central Indiana were also reported slick and hazardous.

Pedestrian killed, interstate shutdown

 A horrific New Year's Day accident killed a pedestrian and shutdown Interstate 69 this morning at the 19 mile marker near Lapel.

NEW CASTLE, IN - There's jobs to be had this winter if you want to work at a nearby manufacturing plant or the IBM Business Center.

 A job fair will be held Tuesday at the Work One office locally at 3011 S. 14th St., to take applications for a Greensfield manufacturer. The hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and you need a couple forms of identification, just like at the BMV.
